What do Atlas stations do?
Atlas Stations are outposts scatted throughout space in No Man's Sky. they are reached through Warp drive and appear on the map as red dots. Atlas Stations contain valuable resources including Warp Cells and language technology.

Once inside, you can interact with the station, get some warp cores, and choose whether or not to follow the path of the Atlas.
